Christopher D. Howes, President
Mr. Howes founded The Howes Group, LLC in 2001. His fourteen-year lobbying and association management career has been built on representing a diverse group of industries and associations in Colorado including; pharmacy, grocery telecommunications, hospitals, big box retail, tobacco, emergency radio, voting equipment, emergency first responders, police departments and commercial developers. His work on behalf of the state chamber of commerce, state hospital association and state retail association has established his reputation as one of the most trusted lobbyists under the golden dome.
From 1994-1997 Mr. Howes served as Vice President of the Colorado Retail Council and soon became its lead lobbyist on the issue of pharmacy regulation and legislation. Before moving over to the State Capitol, Mr. Howes was a Senior Associate for Maria Garcia Berry at CRL Associates, Inc., a contract lobbying firm in Denver specializing in municipal and county government. A registered Republican in Denver, Mr. Howes values the importance of working with both parties to gain support for his clients’ legislative agenda.

Jim Driscoll, Director of Government Affairs
Mr. Driscoll joined The Howes Group, LLC in 2007 as Director of Government Affairs. Prior to joining The Howes Group, Mr. Driscoll held a variety of political and policy positions in Colorado and Montana. Most recently, he served as Legislative & Business Analyst for Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), a Fortune 500 company, where he coordinated Medicaid, Medicare and pharmacy program initiatives. Mr. Driscoll also served as the Compliance Director for the Colorado Democratic Party with responsibility for state and federal Campaign Finance disclosure reporting. Mr. Driscoll has several years of campaign and lobbying experience, serving as Deputy Campaign Director for a successful multi-million dollar statewide initiative in Montana and lobbied the Montana Legislature on behalf of a plethora of business and not-for-profit clients.
